Believe it or not this is where I live...it doesn't normally look like this - usually there is a lot of SUN!!!
I was about to snap on Wednesday Oct 29th! Oh wait - I did snap!
That is not the good news...
And in my moment of true distress I asked our amazing God for a change in the weather, I asked if maybe just once I could be cold, not feel cold BUT be COLD. To feel the desire to wear clothes again, to cover my toes in wooly socks, to wear a sweatshirts around the house as thou it were a necessity! Amazingly enough it started Friday night - I woke up at noon on Saturday (long Halloween in Hollywood-yikes!) to the sound of cars driving through puddles. I crawled over Matt in my eagerness to see the gray sky, to see clouds, to see moisture in the air!!That is not the good news...
And it was true, the Lord had brought me weather...right to my front door.

The following moments held much excitement as I dug out my warmest clothes covered in cobwebs and dust. A pair of gray and crimson wooly socks from under the bed, my fleece pants from the bottom drawer, a long sleeve shirt from the back of the closet and of course my faithful zero degree jacket from the way, way, way back of the closet (the closet almost ate me). Last but not least a wool blend black little hat compliments of J.Crew - but from my days when I had money to drop, yes a time before I paid "rent." Ensemble gathered, I forced my hesitate husband to follow suit... he asked if I thought he should go out in his shorts and shirt? I informed him if you want to be cold, but I wouldn't suggest it. :) In a savvy effort he put on jeans, a long sleeve shirt and his boots. Which brings to mind my SHOES - yes I only wore the best rain stomping shoes...my DANSKO clogs!

Dressed to my rainy day best, barely able to contain my excitement we burst out the door and across the street to our dear Lake Balboa Park for a mid-day jaunt around the lake. Matt in his t-shirt experienced some rather damp expressions - and I in my puffy, waterproof, "nothing getting out or in" jacket had a few moments of heat stroke - guess 68 degrees isn't cold enough for good ol'reddie.
Matt calls this his Velociraptor...pretty cute.

Regardeless it was a day to remember!

Maybe next time my baby will wear a little more clothing, maybe...
I doubt I will wear any less - I can't help myself

Back to our home...right down the golden brick road.
You can see our windows peaking over the trees on the top floor.
That's it folks...the sun set amongst the clouds...and guess what-I know not where.
OH BLISS!
